TMA - Team Micro Arena

Information about the SC2 TMA Beta version

TEAM MICRO ARENA - NOW ALSO FOR SC2

It took quite some discussions and a lot of coding for our new map creator Jackolas, to release this beta version of TMA. The idea of this map was primarily to re-create the original TMA Legends from StarCraft Brood War. TMA Veterans will probably get along with the map quite easily. We didn't change too much and the gameplay is pretty much the same. Some minor things are new though:

UNIT SELECTION

The four zones in which you were using your selector are not needed anymore. Instead you do have a spawn menu which can be opened with a click on the button above the mini map - or way faster: Just hit the SPACEBAR.

UNIT SUICIDE

You do currently neither have the Turrets for air suicide, nor will you find the flags for the ground suicide. Instead of those, every unit does have a new "beam out" button. This ability currently costs 100 points for a ground and 50 points for an air unit. It takes 5 seconds and beams the selected unit out of the arena. We might include a percental cost in one of the further versions.

TEAMKILL

Teamkill has always been a major issue on the old TMA map. Jackolas created a system where attacking your or allied units isn't possible anymore. We might experiment with this concerning splash damage in one of the future versions.

IMPORTANT

A short video review will get uploaded soon, so you can get a first impression. Even better though: Play the map and give us feedback! If you create a game, look for the map Team Micro Arena Classic under the category TMA Legends created by Jackolas (it's a 8 player map).

We need and appreciate all suggestions and ideas of people who are interested in TMA. Please use our TMA Community Forum for providing us with your feedback and for discussions with the TMA community, or directly contact me (TMA-VeNoM) per Mail. Thank you very much and TMA 4 life!

Note: All stats and information about TMA and the units on the general TMA website do still refer to the original TMA Legends for StarCraft Brood War. Since most of the units are absolutely similar, you can also use the given information about the units and their abilities.
